Chelle Koster Walton, a 15-year resident of
Sanibel Island, Florida, specializes in Florida and Caribbean travel. She wrote Frommer's
guide to Best Beach Vacations: Florida and Florida Island-Hopping: The
West Coast (Pineapple Press). Her Caribbean Ways: A Cultural
Guide and Hidden Florida: The Adventurer's Guide have both won
awards in Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism competitions for Best Guidebook. In
1994, she won the Bahamas Discovery Award for an article she wrote about Grand
Bahama Island. She also wrote The Gulf Coast of Florida Book , Sanibel
Island Eyes and Other Island Afflictions & Addictions and Florida
Island Hopping The West Coast.
A member of the Society of American Travel
Writers, Walton is contributing editor for Caribbean Travel and Life
Magazine. Her work has appeared in, among other publications, Longevity,
Miami Herald, Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, Islands, Americana and Los
Angeles Herald-Examiner.
