Bill Vanderford

Georgia Fishing Editor

Bill Vanderford moved to professional bass fishing in 1971 after a successful auto racing career in Europe. He opened his guide service on Atlanta's Lake Lanier the same year. He's won both local and regional tournaments, but since 1977 has concentrated on his guiding, writing and fishing. Bill has written three books -- one on Lake Lanier -- and is the first southerner to be inducted into the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame. He's a member of several writer's organizations, is outdoor editor for the Gwinnett Post Tribune and has a cable TV show, Gwinnett Outdoors. Call 770-962-1241 for guide booking or referrals.
