John L. Beath, national award-winning Northwest outdoor writer, photographer and speaker is an avid angler and outdoorsman. His articles, photos and seminars focus on how-to & where-to fishing in the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia. Beath also writes about unusual outdoor activities and the humorous side of life.

As a freelance saltwater columnist and B.C. correspondent for Fishing & Hunting News, John travels and fishes throughout Washington, B.C., and Alaska. He is also the Northwest Editor for Western Outdoors, Cruising Fishermen Columnist for Nor'Westing, Outdoors Columnist for the Monroe Monitor/Valley News and saltwater editor of Northwest Fishing Holes Magazine.

His articles appear in B.C. Sport Fishing, Saltwater Sportsman, Sport Fishing, Washington/Oregon Game & Fish, California Game & Fish, STS, Northwest Fishing Holes, The Outdoor Press, Falcon, The Everett Herald and The Reel News.
